If he doesn’t want to debate anymore because he thinks the questions were “irrelevent and stupid,” then let him man-up and say so. Why try and play off this “I have a busy schedule” balony, as if anyone is actually swallowing it? That would show at least a hint of character.

Apparently tough questions is the new word for irrelevant and stupid questions.

Hillary is the one on the ropes not Obama and his critics are graping at straws now. People are protesting in front of ABC headquarters for God’s sake over the debate questions. The people are waking up and are not being fooled since Obama is GAINING in PA on Hillary despite these lame “controversies”.

The debates ( I use the term loosely) have become just convenient forums to generate sound bites for lazy voters. I have had enough of them myself.

This has to be the one the worst commentaries I have read on the debate yet.

I couldn’t care a less about Rev. Wright…. seriously think about it. So the guy isn’t happy with the United States? How does that reflect on Obama? If a Catholic was running would you call him a pedophile because his priest may have been?

And is wearing a pin on your lapel a real issue? Does that make you patriotic? I guess as much as putting a yellow ribbon on your gas guzzling Hummer.

I don’t wear a flag pin. And I think those magnets are trivial and cheap way to show your support for the troops. Send a care package, a cellphone, or just a letter.

But I guess that makes me a America-hating libby.

No wonder the country isn’t doing so well.. I guess if we ignore our problems they’ll go away.

Which translates to “I will only answer prepared questions or questions that I have prepared an answer for.”

Which is exactly the point of those debate questions—Obama’s and Clinton’s personality. Wright, Rezko, lying. It all goes back to their personality and their judgement.

And the only people they aren’t issues to are their supporters. To the rest of us bitter, cynical, mean Americans, these things matter. They are issues.

As for his reluctance to engage in further debates, rather than blaming his busy campaign schedule, I wish he would just lay down the law and say, “The only way I am going to participate in another debate is if the moderators commit to make the debate about the issues and not a gossip fest.”

Of course, the other problem here is that the two candidates are nearly identical on issues of importance. So, the race really does come down to which personality do you want in the Oval Office? I’d take someone whose main fault is a tendency to be overly intellectual any day over a manipulative liar.

But for Obama to turn tail and run the day after a bad debate says volumes. This “we’ve had 21, we don’t need anymore” BS is a copout. It has nothing to do with the amount and everything to do with him being forced to answer the really tough questions correctly the first time. And in that, he has shown to be a miserable failure.

He talks real pretty when everything is planned, or if he isn’t thrown any curves. However, now we have seen what he’s made of when the road gets bumpy. A couple weeks ago he ran away from a reporter who was pressing him, and now he doesn’t want to debate anymore after being pressed.

BTW- I don’t suppose you called McCain a coward when he refused to debate Huckabee, did you?
